SUSTAINABILITY

Responsible Business Conduct

Axess Group conducts its business in line with the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

Due diligence process

Reporting on our due diligence process is based on OECD’s guidance for due diligence assessments.

We evaluate our own actual or potential influence on the identified risks. We also perform geographical risk screening for internal processes to assess which regions we can work in, identify areas where we may need to take extraordinary measures before starting, and evaluate risks associated with new client relationships.

We evaluate which suppliers pose the highest risks to us by examining:

  • Importance of the supplier, in terms of supplier size and supplier criticality
  • Geographically inherent risks related to human rights, bribery and corruption, working conditions and cyber security
  • Occupational safety and health risks
  • Sector and product-specific risks related to the supplier

Respecting human rights

We respect all internationally recognised human rights, which include the human right to freedom of association and the human rights not to be subject to forced labour, child labour or discrimination in respect of employment and occupation. We also respect applicable standards of international humanitarian law.

Effective July 1st, 2022, larger enterprises in Norway must comply with the Transparency Act, to ensure fundamental human rights and decent working conditions for employees throughout the supply chain.

Our supply chain

We expect all suppliers and subcontractors to conduct business according to the same standards of business ethics that we do, and we expect all suppliers to commit to our governing documents, including the Code of Conduct, HSEQ Policy, Human Rights Policy, and Modern Slavery Statement

In 2022, we introduced a Supplier Commitment Scheme to be agreed and signed by our suppliers. We will continue to advise and actively monitor our suppliers through regular supplier audits.

All suppliers are able to report any potential misconduct through our Whistleblowing channel.
