What was your journey like at Axess?
I started working for Axess as a contractor at Skysite Offshore (which was later acquired by Axess) in 2013, where I took on the role of a Level 2 Rope Access Technician / Rigger. During this period, I worked on numerous projects as part of Axess’ core crew in Africa, which ultimately led to my involvement in larger hook-up projects.
In early 2023, I took on the newly created role of Business Development and Projects Manager, which was established to focus on securing larger projects, such as the hook-up work we carried out in Congo.
What do you find most meaningful about your role?
What I found meaningful in my previous role as a contractor was how completing jobs in a way that demonstrated our commitment and skill led to building strong relationships with clients.
In my current role, what I find most meaningful is the opportunity to leverage the technical expertise I gained offshore in business development and management, enhancing both project executions and client relationships.
What is the best thing about working at Axess?
The opportunity for growth and exposure to new aspects of our business, as well as the opportunity to build stronger relationships within the team and with clients.
