Axess Group completes DROPS inspection on two land drilling rigs

Our team from Singapore has successfully carried out a dropped objects prevention scheme (DROPS) audit and inspection on two land drilling rigs in Papua New Guinea. Our client, an international rig operator, commended our team for a safe and efficient job execution.

The scope of work included planning, assessment of the client’s DROPS procedures, DROPS inspection, verification of secondary retention and gap analysis. All areas of non-conformance were reported to the client, which included a detailed closing recommendation and corrective actions.

DROPS management system and inspection program is a systematic approach to prevent dropped objects. Axess Group’s DROPS portfolio–design and verification, baseline surveys, 3rd party inspection, training and barrier management–allows rig owners and operators to strategically prevent falling objects and prevent injuries to personnel and damage to assets.
